TIPS ON BRINGING YOUR CHILDREN TO US FOR THE FIRST TIME:
- We understand that dental fear is still very present.
If you don't like coming to the dentist or have any phobias, please avoid passing it on to your kids! Keep positive about their visit.
- Avoid saying things like "You don't have to be scared" or
"it won't hurt!". This will immediately trigger an alert on your child, making them wonder why you are saying this if they haven't even thought about pain or fear in the first place.
- A good way to start on the first visit is telling them that they will go to a dentist that will count how many teeth they have. |
